They bulldozed this house on Prospect Street today.

EDIT/UPDATE:::May 6: It turns out I loaded pictures on my flickr page in 2008, when previous owner was cleaning the house out. Mostly pictures of junk (a Hudson schoolteacher lived there), but kitchen pantry, stairway with stained woodwork, and vintage bathroom...
What a sweet looking house. What a shame to see it go.

ReplyDeleteI know someone that wanted to buy that house a few years ago and the owners wouldn't sell. To bad, it was a great looking house.

ReplyDeletebut I live nearby and when my neighbor told me about a house being torn down on Prospect, I thought, 'Oh no, not the bungalow...!' Sure enough. Whenever I've passed by, I've always wished someone would love it again. Not two weeks ago I thought, 'Lovely, but sooooo falling apart that all that can be done, likely, is tear it down.' When my thought was proven true, sigh, I was so sad.
